Software Engineer is a more stable career with more demand in the future.

You can become a Business Analyst after becoming a Software Engineer.

Software engineer has a better salary.

I would choose what you like to do most, its better to enjoy what you do, than hate what you do but makes lots of money.

I’ve been both and prefer Analyst. The pay is comparable, and Analysts don’t get off-shored as frequently as developers. But it really depends on what you like doing for work… they’re two very different jobs.
