What to do to become a business analyst?
Planning a path to the career of your choice or changing careers successfully, requires careful thought and strategy.

your degree should be anything that is related to business (like business management or finance) It will probably take you 4 years to finish to get your bachelors and getting an MBA (really helps) will take another 2-3 years.

LikeDislikeThe above poster is correct. Your business degree should also include some IT subjects like systems analysis or the systems development life cycle (an IT specialization would be good)
An MBA with IT specialization is of course valuable – but they can often be done in as little as a year. An IT Masters degree would be useful as well – you may like to leave the MBA until you have had significant job experience and get something like an executive MBA.
