How I can Become An Insurance Business Analyst?
I am of 39 years old and presently working as Asst. Admn.Officer in LIC of India. I have put up 17 years service with my employer. I am a B.Sc graduate with Fellowship qualification in Life insurance from Insurance Institute of India,Mumbai.
I am working for LIC of INDIA in various capacities since last 17years and I am having versatile experience in all the functional areas of Branch as well as Divisional office environments.
Presently I am heading underwriting department
Also I am heading the Agents Training Centre
I would like to become Business Analyst in Insurance domain.
I request to give me an idea, whether my option is right or not.
If so, wht are organisations presently operating with insurance domain.
i request the friends suggestions and help in switching my career,
I am very much interested in switching new career.
Also suggest me ,which short time courses I have to pursue
to get more suitable openings.

I work as Business Analyst, but more in IT perspective for an Independent financial services firm/Singapore. I suggest you to couple your Domain expertise with Information Systems knolwdege (Areas that may include Knowledge Management, Project management, Business Intelligence, SW Development Lifecycle, Computational functional analyst etc., ). You can be an independent Management consultant assisting financial firms to roll-out business systems or join an IT Business Solution provider firm. All the best.
