How Do You Become a Business Analyst?

I’m weighing my career options and would like an opinion?

I have an associates Degree in Information Systems and I am currently trying to finish my B.S.

What do you need to know to become an Analyst?

Any advice would be great!

A business degree or actual business experience. I.S. degree is not a business degree.

A business analyst…. let’s see here…. yup, you’re a business! bingo! No seriously though my friend’s dad runs his own business analysis company, he has a degree in mechanical engineering and his wife is a lawyer. They have a lot of common sense when it comes to looking at a company and determining what is needed and what isn’t needed. What costs can be cut, etc. A general knowledge of business structure and managing (which I’m sure you have) is also key.
